Has anyone burnt themselves using beauty wax?

I burnt myself using a microwave wax product. When I took it out of the microwave and put the temperature stick in it, it splashed over my hand, resulting in second degree burns and a permenant scar.





Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with these types of products?Has anyone burnt themselves using beauty wax?

my friend put hot wax on her mustach and it was too hot she had a red upper lip for months and no amount of makeup would cover the redness (HEEHEE) sorry it was funny...she worked in an office were tons of women came in to file paperwork so you know she got asked at least 100 times a day what happened to your lip...she now goes to a pro to get it waxed
you would be better going to a beauty salon to get your waxing done. ALWAYS test wax on the back of your hand or the inside of your wrist before applying it to your face or other skin area. Any good beauty therapist would do the same. Aloe vera is good for soothing burns.
I've had the wax pretty hot, but never second degree burns. Don't put in the microwave as long as you did or maybe set the power level to 50%.





You could also use a dilapitory (don't think i spelled that right) instead of hot wax for hair removal.

you're only supposed to microwave it 30 seconds at a time, until it is the desired consistency... you obviously left it in for too long.
Email the company and tell them you are going to sue.They will pay attention to that!
no but i did use it in a bikini area for when my hubby came back from deployment and i bled for 10 minutes. i don't do that anymore

No. I don't use that kind of wax just for that reason. I use cold wax by Sally Hanson, which works pretty well. Sometimes I use Nad's, which is a sugar wax. It smells nice and works well.
it seems like such a quick fix couple of sec in a microwave and woopee





stay away form them as the wax is boiling, by the time its cooled it will result in the strip sticking to the skin causing further trouble





it is costly but go to a salon its heated up slowly and temp is maintained, there is so many slaons or mobile beauty therapists who r cutting costs and have good packages





the product you used it very dangerous i would stay well clear of them, its not fair as you think its so quick but forgetting that its boling hot, good luck wiv your scar





just to mention scars propery heal after a few months apply a lavender oil to a carrier oil and massage it in, it works wonders for scars and will help reduce pigment and even ou the skin

yes i have. i decided to wax my upper lip and when i went to put it on it was to hot well i got a hugh burn mark on top of my lip and it hurt like ****. the scar stayed with me for about a good 3 months.
no, Try using the cold wax strips, less faffing about, less messy and no burns!
