Is it good to wax the hair on our hands and legs for the sake of beauty?

If it makes you feel good and happy, why not????

If not, then don't.

Remember, why we want to be considered pretty or beautiful should ultimately be up to us.Is it good to wax the hair on our hands and legs for the sake of beauty?
I don't was them i prefer epilady or something like that, but only for legsIs it good to wax the hair on our hands and legs for the sake of beauty?
Yea your legs are ok but i dont think you would want to do your arms. i remember this one lady use to wax her arms, when i use to sit next to her, her arm hairs that grew would poke me. because it would be so thick
if u want to then yes- there is no harm to it. u always have the other options of usin a razor or hair removal cream
go ahead if u want...but one sugestion dont us a razor or shaving cream it grows back wierd..so start da wax-a-ton :)...u should wax it off
waxing is best
Dunno if it is good but I wax my legs . Looks better silky smooth and i feel better.
Waxing is temporary hair removal method.

Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.

I went to the beauty salon and the girl who waxed my upper lip?

was so rude and mad and started to make a scene at the salon! when she waxed my upper lip in front of everybody, she also poped my pimple!!!! now it is bleeding and oozing watery stuff! does she have a right to do that or now will i be infected by her doing that? do i have a case to sue without a recipt???I went to the beauty salon and the girl who waxed my upper lip?
I don't think you have a case to sue, but what was she doing popping your zit for anyway? Did you complain to the manager and the owner of the salon? If not that would be my very first course of action. I would do so in a nice but I mean business type of way. In other words don't go up there and show your fanny and get arrested. If no satisfaction there say something as you walk out the door about the local papers and your attorney and never go back.I went to the beauty salon and the girl who waxed my upper lip?
no i would of punched her ! you should of spoke to the manager soon as it happened.
wat did she do pop ur pimple how was she rude
ha ha wow
I sure hope you didn't pay for that kind of ';service';.
we live in a get rich, sue happy type of country...sometimes it is warranted in yours not at all, you just got bad service.

What you can do is call the owner/manager of the shop and very politely explain the situation and tell them that for that reason you will never return to the salon and you will also tell your friends to do the same. Don't get loud or threatening just tell her in a matter of fact tone heck even be sickly nice. If anything I am sure the employee will get in trouble and it sounds like her attitude prob needs to dealt with. But if the salon is reputable they may let you have another wax job on the house. Good luck
mabey you should have said somethoing ammediatly to the owner,..you wouldnt get infected though...if your worried astringent with peroxide,..but mabey she should get fired.especially if she had no idea that she was out of line...
It could get infected, but I really doubt that you can sue, nor would it be a rational thing to do. Just learn from it and move on with your life. Don't go back to that salon, and if anyone ever tries weird stuff on you again, tell them to stop, and refuse to pay for the service.
I don't think you have a reason to sue the company because the lady popped your pimple. When waxing, the wax pulls up everything, so if a pimple is in the area that you are getting waxed, that is on the customers' hand not the company.

my eyebrows look like really bad right now and i want to get the hair between them removed and like underneath. does it hurt a lot? do they look really good afterwards?I'm 14 and i'm going to beauty brands to get my eyebrows waxed for the first time. does it hurt very much? ?
it doesn't really hurt, its the ripping off fast that scares you more than the pain. its not that bad so do not worry. it looks great afterwards.I'm 14 and i'm going to beauty brands to get my eyebrows waxed for the first time. does it hurt very much? ?
Depends on the person that does it! It shouldn't hurt, just sting for a few seconds. Some fair skinned girls can get redness and irritation (and some darker girls, too!!)--but I don't. Of course, it gets easier every time you do it.

But, until you know how your skin will react, don't plan on going out and doing stuff right afterwards, unless you don't care if it looks like you just got the hair ripped out of your face! :)
I got mine waxed when i was 12. It doesn't hurt, just a little bit for about 2 seconds. But it gets easier after the first time, because there isn't as much hair to remove. Just don't go out and do something, because they'll be red 4 a while. But its worth it, and i hate plucking alot, so :].
I was really worried too at first. just relax and be calm. it actually feels really nice when they put the hot wax on, it isnt that bad. it just feels like a pinch, stings a little after. not half as bad as getting your ears peirced.
I got mine done when I was ten and it didn't hurt me.

It might sting for a few seconds but the pain is not unbearable.

I didn't find it sore one bit and it does look really good afterwards.

    Hope I helped lol xxx
they look awesome afterwards!! i have to admit it does hurt in the beginning but after a while it gets numb and you dont feel it as much anymore.

and believe me its totally worth it!
    Not really.

    Wax eyebrows at beauty salon?

so I have never waxed my eyebrows but I would like to have a nice arch shape, and it is too hard for me to do at home with tweezers. I heard that sometimes they make the eyebrow too thin, so have you had that problem? do they usually do a good job?Wax eyebrows at beauty salon?
get it done. they know what they are doing and to be on the safe side just tell them to make the brow thicker if you want it thinned out a little more just tell them and they will do it on the spot.

only about $7 where I am at

good luck!!Wax eyebrows at beauty salon?
I think that eyebrows waxed at a salon always look better than tweezed eyebrows.
yes, but make shure you have a good person to do it for you and tel them what you want. dont get them too thin!
Yes, be precise in telling them you do not want thin ones.
    ok
The beautiful arch that you see on actors in movies is tweezing, but getting your eyebrows waxed is a solution for people who don't want the upkeep of perfect tweezing. Let them know how high you want the arch, how thin or thick you want the center of the brow, and how you want the taper. The best thing is to take a picture of brows you admire and show them so they understand you!

some do go to salons. others will have someone else do it for them. but in most cases they just leave it alone.

    :]
yes i go to salon to get my chest and back waxed
Waxing is extremely common among men in 2007. I go to a place within a gym where about 40% of waxees are male - it's no big deal, the therapists are all female and they're totally professional and are used to treating men.

I love my wife completely and trust her but on the other hand she's a highly skilled and experienced journalist and not a trained beauty therapist so I wouldn't let her near me with heated wax (in the same way as I wouldn't let her cut my hair because I prefer a professional hairdresser to do the job).
yes men do go to salons to get waxed I saw this report name Larry Hoff from the W B11 get waxed on TV and he screamed like a baby.
you can buy waxing strips at the store, just find some one who will wax it for you
lol yer some of them do.. but like you said some do get their wives to wax it off... either way its the same progress.. and you go through the same pain..

Can some one tell which beauty parlour at Chandigarh has bikini wax facility?

What do beauty saloon do for bikini wax? is it only for hairy ladies?

A bikini wax may well be carried out at the same time as a leg wax. It's simply a tidying away of all the hair around the bikini line so that you can wear a bikini without unsightly hairs showing around the bikini bottoms.

More radical is the Brazilian where all the hair is removed from the entire pubic area except for a small strip of hair at the front known as a landing strip. Yet more adventurous is the Hollywood where all the pubic hair is removed.

Men as well as women are increasingly getting these treatments as male grooming becomes more popular.

For men, the full hair removal treatment is often rather crudely known as the Back, Sack and Crack (use your imagination!).

Yes it's painful, especially the first time when the hair follicles are still at full strength but not nearly as painful as I had feared. If you're having such a treatment and you're worried about the pain, take a dose of Ibuprofen about 45 minutes before treatment and that helps most people.

Just one other thing, don't be embarrassed about having these treatments as they are very common in 2007 and the beauticians have seen it all before. What do beauty saloon do for bikini wax? is it only for hairy ladies?

Beauty question! Were can i buy hard wax for bikini area, and what are tips to avoid those icky red bumps?

Does anybody know if hard wax is available at a normal drugstore (cvs, walgreens), or do i have to go to a salon or specialty store?

Also, does anybody have any tips to avoid irritation, bumps, redness and ingrown hairs?

Thanks so much guys! :]Beauty question! Were can i buy hard wax for bikini area, and what are tips to avoid those icky red bumps?
I get Surgi or GiGi brands hard wax. You can get Surgi from CVS or Walmart, but you have to go to a beauty supply place for GiGi.

I haven't found anything that works for ingrowns, but as far as the irritation goes if you put witch hazel on it right after it calms down much quicker.

I'm trying bikini gold for ingrowns next month when I wax. I've heard good things...buy I haven't used it yet.

  • The beauty therapist burnt me whilst waxing... what should I do?

I went to my usual beauty parlour yesterday to get my standard eyebrow wax. I had a therapist who served me and at the beginning had an ';attitude problem'; - so she ended up serving me for the treatment which take about 10 minutes wax. Firstly she made no effort and i felt like I was bothersome to her cause she actually had to do some work. She didn't ask me if the temperature of the strip wax was Ok i thought my skin may have been overly sensitive yesterday. So she proceeded to wax, and it was a bit hot, and she seemed to be getting it all over my eye, very messy! She didn't even make conversation (in the past the girls have been very friendly) and then over waxed my eyebrows very thin! I was horrified and it was too late. On top of that she mumbled and when i asked her to repeat herself again she gave me attitude. When I came out, my eyebrows were RED and later on that night I have scars almost third degree burns.. i had to see a doctor for cream..should I complain to the manager? The beauty therapist burnt me whilst waxing... what should I do?
suck it up! be a (wo)man! rub some dirt on it!!!!The beauty therapist burnt me whilst waxing... what should I do?
Yes; And you shouldn't go back there.

    Ask for a refund.
Yes, they have no right to treat customers that way. Not only should you complain. But you could threaten to sue. If they dont make a settlement. If it is third dergree which is the worst burn it could cause scarring. I would see a lawer and ask if the case is worth persuing. I gurentee you will get money and if not from court a settlement. Consult a lawer. Trust me no place wants a bad rep you will get money and the girl may easily be fired.
Kick his penis until its inverted then whale on his face with a hot iron.
If people are being rude to you, don't let other people get that same bad attitude from that person. Talk to the manager. Don't sue. It's bad that she did this, but to sue is BIG!!!!!

I had a teacher who was new at my school. One day on a test she asked us a religious question. I was going to school in a very liberal area and this question appalled us because most of us were not catholic and she had never gone over it in class and us being the big 8th graders, we complained about everything we could find to talk about. We didn't go to the source of the problem because she was not listening, so we went to the guidance counselor. We told him that we were never taught this material, that we were not religious and that we no longer wanted to see what color thong she was wearing. After then, she started wearing about 7 layers.

End of story: Talk to the manager. Don't get upset right off the bat. If you are shouting at him/her and being mean, he/she probably won listen to you. Start by saying that the place is normally great, you love it etc., then tell him/her about the woman. Never act selfish. Act like you are only thinking of him/her and his beauty parlor. That should work. REMEMBER: DON'T GET WORKED UP!!!!!!!!!!!

    GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh! I t was only your eyebrows...At first I thought it was your er...uh....nether regions....
    YES

SUE THEM 4 ALL THEY R WORTH!!!

(if there is no fine print bull involved lyk ';wax may burn';)
Definitely. Not only would I complain to the manager but I would go with the bill from your doctors visit and your prescription for the burns. It would be different if you had never had this procedure done before but since you have a history at this location there is a set standard of behavior that you have become to expect. If the manager does not accept responsibility you can contact a lawyer and see what your legal rights are. Also, businesses like these do not like bad publicity.
definantly complain coz she cant treat costomers like that! i would i mean if she doesnt like her job then she should quit and not take it out on good paying customers
    complain the manager.

ask to give money back or make police complain on that person.
YES!!! that was a horrible thing to do! Talk to the manager! Complain til he's sick! That person obviously needs a lesson!
    yes!
    Yes,you should and sue her.
I would, thats totally unacceptable especially if its never happened before!
Yes, complain. If they seem to do nothing about it, report the salon/beautician to your state's Board of Cosmetology (Google [your state] cosmetology board and find a complaint phone number).

They're supposed to test the wax on the inside of their wrist before they put it on you to make sure you don't get burned.

How can I locate a beauty salon that can thread my eyebrows rather than wax them in the United States?

Don't JCPenny, and other places in malls usually offer that particular service?

But then again, unless you want a shop that only specials in threading (Which is highly unlikely) Google it in your area.

Also...asking is never a bad idea.

-KobHow can I locate a beauty salon that can thread my eyebrows rather than wax them in the United States?
everywhere. you just need to ask them. How can I locate a beauty salon that can thread my eyebrows rather than wax them in the United States?
    Wow.

Most places do both. You can search:

    Eyebrow Threading

    near

    Your City.
Most large cities have salons like that, especially if they have larger Indian or Middle Eastern population- normally the name of the salon will indicate that. If you tell me where in the US you live, I can help you more.

Places owned by Eastern European or Asian managers don't usually offer that service, but things have been changing lately. Some mainstream salons are beginning to do threading as well, so you should call the places in your area and see if they have somebody who can do it. If not, try connecting with women of middle eastern or Indian descent- many of them get their eyebrows threaded, so they'll be able to help you and tell you where to go.

  • Can a beauty therapist tell me how do you do a brazilian wax?

Can a beauty therapist please tell me a step by step guide to performing a brazilian wax on another person, including what positions the person should be in, how to strech the skin to ensure as little pain as possible ( especially around the lips) and any other useful information to ensure the best possible results. Also i would like to know how far up a 3/4 leg wax goes up to. ThanksCan a beauty therapist tell me how do you do a brazilian wax?
I am not waxing professional, but I have had the brazilian wax done to me quite a few times. It's pretty simple as long as you keep the patient in a comfortable setting/environment. Just be sure to keep that skin warm when waxing, and ensure that you dont burn your patient. Also make sure that you take your time!!!! The patient/customer came there to leave feeling great, not with terrifying pain.

When you are waxing, wax off the hairs in the opposite direction of hair growth. If there hairs are more than a quarter inch in length, I highly recommend you trim those hairs. If not the pain level only inreases. If the hairs are less then one-eighth of an inch in length then the customer should let them grow out a little more. When you do wax the hairs off, gently push or pull the skin in the opposite direction that you are waxing.

I recommend you just watch a video on it or something. If you can practice on someone first, then great. Remind your customers to be well hydrated when getting waxed because you dont want them to have dry skin when you are waxing, and make sure they have not tanned recently either. You dont want that skin to be peeling off afterwords. When you are done waxing just apply so nice lotion or after waxing formula to the skin to help with any possibly reddness, swelling, or whatever.

Attached I will include a link to a video that has an example of a girl (probably in her mid 20's) getting her brazilian wax. Everything down there is shown, but I do want you to know this video was not meant to be a porn video...more like a live how to guide i guess. If you are offended seeing a girl get her brazilian wax, dont watch. I doubt thats the case though considering this new hobby of yours...

Do most beauty salons offer a full bikini wax?

I usually shave everything off, including underneath extra and leave a tiny landing strip. I have not got the guts to wax myself (tried and failed!) so I want to get it professionally done.

However, when you go to a beauty salon to get a bikini wax, do they literally just do the bikini line or will they take it all off underneath etc??

ok. don't panic. it's not that bad at all. you can talk about it when you get there. i mean to find out what are they doing literally.

    Ouch! My sympathies.

I'm thinking you've probably solved the problem by now one way or another but for future reference, a warm shower with soap / shower gel should help but use a hypoallergenic soap because your skin will be a bit raw at that point. Alternatively, use aqueous cream but be careful because again, your skin is super sensitive after waxing.

Actually, forget all that. Next time, I recommend going to a good salon - well worth the money. How do i get beauty wax off skin?

If I wax my eyebrows in the beauty salon how long will they last?

I've only waxed my eyebrows once, years ago.

I might go to the beauty salon in a week or two and school starts on Aug 20th. I want to do my eyebrows with the 'arch' look.

I want them to be this way till school starts,I might not be able to do them constantly because I don't go to the beauty salon as often.

How long do you think they will last this way of if you get them down how long does it usually last for you.If I wax my eyebrows in the beauty salon how long will they last?
I don't know, but I usually get them waxed, maybe, once a year, and then tweaze them myself when I start to see hair popping back up.

It's cheaper and faster. And that way you maintain a good shape [ i.e.- ';Arch';].If I wax my eyebrows in the beauty salon how long will they last?
I only have to have them done ever 3 months, but I regularly pluck stray hairs. If it gets too bad I go to the salon.
depends on how fast your hair grows.. but usually two weeks or so...
mine last up to 3 weeks, different people hair grows different.

    prb 2 to 3 weeks.
about 3 weeks then little hairs start poking out. but if you pluck the extra hairs regularly they should keep in the 'arched' shape
It lasts a month for me
It just depends. I get mine done every 4 weeks. Sometimes, I needed it on the third week. Somtimes I could have waited until week 5.
about a week or 2 everones is not the same
Lasts about 6 weeks for me
Depends on how fast your hair grows...I do mine every 2 weeks,

You could always get your own Waxer, it's easy to learn how to, Just don't get carried away like I did, I had holes in my eyebrows and made my mother come over to where I'm staying and fix them...
Usually lasts for 2-4 weeks, depending on hair growth. And you will need to do a little maintenance with plucking.
probably 2 weeks, depends on your eyebrows
i think waxing lasts like..three weeks.
probably will last about 2 weeks, but once you get them waxed, it'll be a lot easier to just do some light plucking if some of the hair is starting to come back when school starts, the hairs you need to pluck will be shorter and you'll know which ones and it'll be easier.
I've heard about 6 weeks, but everyones hair is different. I don't wax, my eyebrows are blond and hardly noticiable. : ( !
the salon usually does it too thin. so get your mom to do it. (lasts about 2 weeks at most) so just do it at home in about three weeks.
probably almost about a month but i dont know how fast they grow on you so um.... just go with that good luck :)
    like a week 1/2

What is the best wax at sally's Beauty supplies?

And what works better for arms the heated wax or the cold one?

I really don't want to shave them and they're still noticeable after I bleached them

Also for anyone with past experience on arm hair removal, If I wax for a long time, how much time will it take for the hairs to grow in?What is the best wax at sally's Beauty supplies?
they have a ';space saver'; heater that heats up the wax that comes in little tubs. great investment not too expensive! i even think it's on sale right now. they have different types of wax that comes in little tubs to fit in the heater, but the beeswax is usually fine for just about anything. they also have wax for sensitive skin, which i highly recommend if you're doing it for the first time.

it's different for everyone, but if you wax once a month, your hair will come in less and less, usually takes a month to come back in, and sometimes it will stop coming in alltogether if you do it for long enough.

they have pamphlets that you can use as a guide so you know you picked the right product for you. i don't think the cold wax is as effective. make sure you test the temperature of the heated wax once you heat it up by putting a small dab on your wrist. it should be warm, but not burn.

don't try to wax a huge area all at once. do small sections at a time, about 2-3 inches by 4-5 inches. i know you just want to get it over with, but this will give you the best results. press the muslin strip over the wax in the direction of your hair growth. brace yourself, hold your skin tight, and pull as fast as you can in the opposite direction of the hair growth.

i've never heard of a place that will do body waxing for $7. arms are usually about $30. you might want to go to a place to get it done for the first time, because it is not a pleasant experience. What is the best wax at sally's Beauty supplies?

prfereablly after your periods. This helps you relaxws and freshWhen should I have beauty treatments like waxing or facials?
I would recommend that these be carried out well in advance of your wedding day, especially if you have never had them before. Facials are designed to encourage impurities to come out of your skin, so you may find that up to a month after the treatment these impurities are still working their way out of your system. With waxing you may develop small pimples to the area treated, especially if the area is on your face, or you may react to the product, so a trial run well in advance of your wedding is essential and the actual treatment itself should take place a few days before the big day.

Can Herpes be spread through Waxing eyebrows, upper lips at the Beauty Parlour? Can bacteria live in the wax?

no, you can only spread herpes by orally, anally, any type of sexual intercourse ven kssing or with any opening of the body that the virus can go through into. bacteria cant live in wax, they'll end up like mosquitos in amber. Can Herpes be spread through Waxing eyebrows, upper lips at the Beauty Parlour? Can bacteria live in the wax?
    herpes is a virus ..

ps herpes can be spread by drinkning out of the same soda bottle

    (below is a cite:)

Direct contact with the live virus including:

Any direct contact with an herpes infection

Kissing, touching or caressing actively infected areas

Sexual contact (vaginal, oral, or anal sex)

Cold sores or mouth herpes can be spread by sharing the same drinking glass, lipstick, cigarette, etc.

One kind of complication involves spreading the virus from the location of an outbreak to other places on the body by touching the sore(s). The fingers, eyes, and other body areas can accidentally become infected in this way. Preventing self-infection is simple. Do not touch the area during an outbreak. If you do, wash your hands as soon as possible with soap and warm water. Can Herpes be spread through Waxing eyebrows, upper lips at the Beauty Parlour? Can bacteria live in the wax?

How do you get wax (the kind of wax used in a beauty salon) out of a silk top?

At the beauty salon, as the beautician was waxing my legs some wax flew up onto my silk top. I took it to the dry cleaners who said that it was unlikely they would be able to get the stain out. They suggested soaking the top in cold water for one hour. I tried it but it didn't work. Will get it dry cleaned to see if that works. How do you get wax (the kind of wax used in a beauty salon) out of a silk top?
The beauty supply stores sell a wax remover that might work. It is really used to clean out the wax heater pots and implements, but it might work on your top. The only thing is that it is silk. You also might try Weimann's wax remover available in discount and craft stores. It is used to remove candle wax from holders, but I have used it on table runners, napkins, furniture surfaces, etc. It will leave an oily residue and when it does, I pile salt, cornstarch, borax, baking soda or even talc on the area, let it absorb the excess oil and then wash or launder with a pre-spotter or dawn dishwashing soap. All that being said, none of the fabrics have been silk which is tempermental and generally liquids leave rings on.

How to ask to get your sideburn's waxed at a beauty salon?

Well, I have these really visible sideburns that I absolutely hate but I can't get rid of them myself because I get all blotchy and red if I try to wax or epilate them myself, so I want to go the salon to get them professionally done. The thing is, I don't know how to ask to get them done. Are they called ';sideburns'; or they have another name (kind like ';upper lip'; for moustache and the sort)? Do people get this normally done? How to ask to get your sideburn's waxed at a beauty salon?
You can just say sideburns. There isn't another name for it and even if there was, they would know what you are talking about. A lot of spa's offer it in their menu these days anyway. How to ask to get your sideburn's waxed at a beauty salon?
If you are embarrased, wait until you get into the room where the waxing is done and just explain how you feel about the hair on the side of your face. Just point!

Has anyone burnt themselves using beauty wax?

I burnt myself using a microwave wax product. When I took it out of the microwave and put the temperature stick in it, it splashed over my hand, resulting in second degree burns and a permenant scar.

Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar experience with these types of products?Has anyone burnt themselves using beauty wax?
Yes and was told to use aloe vera to sooth the pain poor you did not recieve burns just sore and red legsHas anyone burnt themselves using beauty wax?
my friend put hot wax on her mustach and it was too hot she had a red upper lip for months and no amount of makeup would cover the redness (HEEHEE) sorry it was funny...she worked in an office were tons of women came in to file paperwork so you know she got asked at least 100 times a day what happened to your lip...she now goes to a pro to get it waxed
you would be better going to a beauty salon to get your waxing done. ALWAYS test wax on the back of your hand or the inside of your wrist before applying it to your face or other skin area. Any good beauty therapist would do the same. Aloe vera is good for soothing burns.
I've had the wax pretty hot, but never second degree burns. Don't put in the microwave as long as you did or maybe set the power level to 50%.

You could also use a dilapitory (don't think i spelled that right) instead of hot wax for hair removal.
    no sorry
no, because i know enough to follow the instructions.

you're only supposed to microwave it 30 seconds at a time, until it is the desired consistency... you obviously left it in for too long.
Email the company and tell them you are going to sue. They will pay attention to that!
no but i did use it in a bikini area for when my hubby came back from deployment and i bled for 10 minutes. i don't do that anymore
u should have just stuck it in hot water
No. I don't use that kind of wax just for that reason. I use cold wax by Sally Hanson, which works pretty well. Sometimes I use Nad's, which is a sugar wax. It smells nice and works well.
it seems like such a quick fix couple of sec in a microwave and woopee

stay away form them as the wax is boiling, by the time its cooled it will result in the strip sticking to the skin causing further trouble

it is costly but go to a salon its heated up slowly and temp is maintained, there is so many slaons or mobile beauty therapists who r cutting costs and have good packages

the product you used it very dangerous i would stay well clear of them, its not fair as you think its so quick but forgetting that its boling hot, good luck wiv your scar

    Male body waxing, beauty treatments?

    Hi,

I recently had a full leg wax and think that I want more waxing done. It was for charity and I volunteered to have my legs waxed if my work could raise $5000.

When I got to the beauty salon the beautician who was to wax me asked how far up my leg I wanted done and I didn't really know. She said that seeing it was my first time that I may as well get the works, so a full leg wax. While I thought that just above the knee would be fine I didn't want to argue as they had donated the waxing service.

I was shown into a room and asked to take off my shoes, socks and pants and place on a smallish wrap around type of skirt (very attractive look). Fiona the beautician then started on my lower legs which didn't hurt anything compared to what I had expected. After doing the front and backs of my lower legs she continued upwards. I was to discover why I needed to wear the skirt as it let her access very very high on my leg while I could maintain my modesty. I must admit that the whole experience was quite exciting as I'd never had anything like this done before. She was waxing beside my underpants line when she asked if that was high enough. She said that she would do a bikini wax if I was ok with that and I instantly agreed. So she waxed my whole groin region as well (stings quite a bit there) with the exception of my privates.

With my legs and bikini line now silky smooth I thanked Fiona and headed home. I loved the experience of feeling my now smooth legs. Must say that I wasn't thinking much and when I showed my wife when I got home she was shocked that I'd agreed to have some much waxed. I tried to say that they said that I should get the works so who was I to disagree but that didn't really work.

Am I weird for agreeing to a full leg and bikini wax? I would love to have more waxing done but not sure my wife would agree? Any words of advice???

Also now very tempted to get my ears pierced and nearly had them done while at the salon. I asked Fiona about ear piercing during my waxing appointment and was very close to getting them done there and then as well. Should I get my ears pierced as well and if so how many? Does getting your ears pierced hurt?

    Look forward to your advice.

    Thanks.Male body waxing, beauty treatments?

but atleast they are not bashing your face in, to let out their anger!
    hehehehe it could be!
I think you need to change therapist.

I go to place to get waxed and the lady is totally professional and efficient yet friendly and polite. I think most are that way and most want to help people to look their best.
not sadists, masochists. thye willbe screamed at, hit kicked, whatever, so their at times getting the same pain!
I guess in some respects they must be.

But then, those of us that get it done must also be slightly sadistic, continually paying someone to get the hair ripped out of certain areas on our bodies.

The best beauty salon for waxing in London (can be exclusive/expensive)?

I need to go waxing before I go on holiday. I live in London and need to find a very good salon, because once I went to a random one and ended up with a bacterial infection all over my legs. It doesn't matter if it costs a hundred pounds or so, I just want a premium and reliable salon. Any suggestions?...The best beauty salon for waxing in London (can be exclusive/expensive)?

If you want the very best and price is no object, go to Strip in Notting Hill or Chelsea (http://www.2strip.com).

If it's convenient for you, for a much lower price and an excellent spotlessly clean salon, I recommend Beauty Box in Edgware, 020 8952 5382. (no website).

What is the worst and most painful beauty service you have ever received? Waxing? Peels? Extensions?

NJ was thinking of banning brazilian waxes and it got me thinking, what are some of the worst beauty services out there? If you had to ban a beauty service, what would it be and why? What is the worst and most painful beauty service you have ever received? Waxing? Peels? Extensions?
Hollywood waxing, its when they take all the hair off. Brazilian is when they keep a stripe or shape in the middle. But you get used to it.What is the worst and most painful beauty service you have ever received? Waxing? Peels? Extensions?
I really don't think waxing is all that bad... what hurts the most is when they take the tweezers to the very outer edge of the lip where it's hard for the wax strip to remove the hair. That makes me tear up instantly.
Brazillian wax was soooo painful!! I've got 5 tattoos and 9 peiercings and it was worse than those!!!

Why would NJ ban it? That seems really silly. I wouldn't ban anything unless it was actually harmful to someone... why would you ban things like that?
Brazilian all the way. It was so awful. I bruised afterward, had pain and a little swelling for about 3 days and will not ever do it again. Ill stick with shaving or a depilatory cream.
Brazilian waxing...most painful thing ever endured...I was in soooooo much pain...even a few days after-wards..I had to walk like I just got off a horse...whoaaaaa!!!
I had an ';all natural'; facial once that burned my skin so bad, my face was a mess for a month afterward. I've never had so much acne and problems like I did after that sucker.
    waxing any area

because it's hurts so frikin bad i know sumtimes its better than shaving but shaving hurts way less
Pedicures - My feet are really sensitive, so when they start the scrubbing, it hurts a lot for me.
Waxing all around hurts but I don't think they should take it away if you want to put yourself through agonizing pain who are they to reject your wishes..... lol
A blue peel. Hurt badly, but the outcome was great.

What is the proper percent to tip in California for a beauty service, like hair, nails, facial and waxing?

Is it even necessary to tip for every beauty service? What is the proper percent to tip in California for a beauty service, like hair, nails, facial and waxing?
The standard decent tip for great service is 15%. If you feel like someone is doing even better than that than give them what you feel they deserve. Just remember that you dont have to tip them just because it is usually done. What I mean is if they are not doing a good job than do you really think they deserve a tip at all? I only tip if I get good service. However it takes someone doing a really crappy job not to get at least 10% although I usually give 15%.What is the proper percent to tip in California for a beauty service, like hair, nails, facial and waxing?
    15-20%

    tip on the total.

    $100=$15-20
Yeah, usually for manicure it depends how good they did it, if they have you a free massage, if you also got a pedicure, or if they made designs on your nails. I usually give a 3-5 dollar tip. Not too much, then it just makes everything more expensive!!

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;鈥?/a> CLickkkkkk
I believe in tipping 20% for good service.
i thought tipping was always 10 percent at lowest
It's 15%, but I always tip 20% so the next time you go the service will always be better because the beautician is happeir.
    just give coins like korters
15% is the absolute lowest you should ever tip for any type of service such as beauty and or dining. if you get extra good service 20% is a great tip. if you get exceptional service 25% is going to make the person who performs the service remember you always, which in turn could lead to exceptional service every time and in some cases you may receive special discounts and other perks for being a preferred customer and a damn good tipper. :)

Hi, i would like to know the beauty salons where they do Brazilian waxing for women in Chennai?

If you could provide me the names of the parlours and their rates it would be of much help to me.Hi, i would like to know the beauty salons where they do Brazilian waxing for women in Chennai?
    Hi Pinky B,

Brazilian waxing is something which is still not much in fashion. But ofcourse its catching up mainly in the metros. Frankly speaking there is not much salons in Chennai offering Brazilian waxing for women. Anyways you can try out this link - http://chennai.88db.com/maa/Services/Ad_search.listing?O=post%26amp;Q=waxing%26amp;SearchType=0

to find out a list of salons specialized in all kinds of waxing methods. Better call them up and decide.

Hope it helps!!!!!!!!Hi, i would like to know the beauty salons where they do Brazilian waxing for women in Chennai?
'Google' nail or hair salons... they normally offer brazilian waxing. You'd have to be more specific about your location (zip code, etc) for us to further help you. The average cost is $50 US. You can also buy a ';do it yourself'; home-kit at any grocery store.
Any 5 star hotel will do it. Just call and ask to speak to the person who does waxing and ask for a full bikini wax. I have been to the Taj and it costs around 1000 rupees. This is for the full bikini and the full leg wax.

How to get rid of uper lip hair, without waxing, shaving, laser, or even beauty products?

this is because i'm 12. my moms kows i have a mustach and she knows how i felel about it. don't even think about cutting it. long story. How to get rid of uper lip hair, without waxing, shaving, laser, or even beauty products?
You didn't say that your mom would object to plucking out the hair with tweezers. That might be the best way.How to get rid of uper lip hair, without waxing, shaving, laser, or even beauty products?
beg her to let you wax it, but if that doesn't work try bleaching it. good luck
you need to talk to your mum about this i think
If you can't do any of the above then I geuss your stuck with the hair.Tell your mom how it makes you feel.Hopefully she'll understand.
do it anyway, sounds like your mom wants you to be a bearded lady
pluck it out that wouldn't hurt..the choice is yours its ur body and if it makes u feel uncomfortable then try something simple such as plucking them out..good luck
I have been dealing with unwanted facial hair for over 20 years, and I feel for you. Do not cut or shave it! No matter what anyone says it WILL come in like a man's. You could tweeze them, use wax strips or beach them. If products are out of the question, try hydrogen peroxide to gradually lighten. I have a home electrolysis kit that does not use a needle. It's called Sonique. They are sold at places like Sally's. Some say they don't work, though I think it depends on the skin type. Good luck.
    tweeze or buff it
there's really no other way. my opinion, wax it. i'm 12 too and my mom does it for me. we buy the at home thing. it's really easy. it kinda hurts but if i didn't do it, it gets really ugly :)
    wax it!

beg her to let you to.

it is like fifteen dollars and it is really easy, i think that waxing feels nice...but i am a litle weird!

but waxing is the best way.

it is quick, easy, and it keeps hair gone for about three months!
dont worry grl..!! it will b allright if u do bleaching

    its very easy

dont tell ur mom abt it,whenever she is not at home just do it.if it also does'nt goes thn u should tell ur mom dat if i do this thn will u allow me for waxing. put some work infront of her say her dat if u will do dat work thn she will allow u to do waxing.
you could try tweezing. i have the same problem. but im 34. walmart sells wax strips that are quick, cheap, and easy to use.
As one answere suggested, get the wax strips,i.e. WalMart-I ordered another kind that is not a wax based strip and works fine so they are available. Someone gave you a websight-check it out too.
I know how you feel!!!! my mom bought facial wax at a beauty supply store and it seems to work and its cheaper than getting it done professionally and all you have to do is microvave and spread it on the area with a little stick thing that comes with it, let it dry and then peel it off. The only bad part is that you have to do it again every couple of months(and it sometimes hurts).
u get rid of it by waxing, shaving or laser

    what else could you use
i am not sure you can, some people say bleach works, but i don't know if you would want to try that . probally not such a good idea .
there is no really way to do this with out some kind of beauty product...but with out shaving, waxing or laser...you can use the hair buffer, it totally works and only cost about 4.99 plus tax...it rubs the hair right off...doesn't hurt either...

don't bother with creams or bleaches, they stink and only work about half the time...

  • Are there many beauty salons that do waxing in Benidorm, any recommendations?

I'm off to Benidorm on Saturday and haven't had time to wax my legs. If I do it myself, the job's not quite as good. Help! Are there many beauty salons that do waxing in Benidorm, any recommendations?
Depends where you are flying from - some airports have salons where you can get a wax and a spray tan etc - one way to kill time before your flight! If not I'm sure there are plenty of salons in Benidorm

How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?

I am trying to cut down on my beauty expenses but don't know how I can. I spend $80 for a color and cut and $130 for a color cut and highlite (I get highlites only every other time and color everytime). Plus, waxing my eyebrows is $30 - I try to go every few months and keep them maintained in between, but I'd really like to go every 40 weeks. She does an amazing job and I can't give this up! I sometimes get my nails down, so maybe $30 a month for that. Plus my makeup and face products.... Ugh... Any suggestions on how to still look good but be more cost effective? I try to do my nails myself most of the time. The hair cuts a big chunk. How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?
$0. I pluck my own eyebrows, my friend's mom is a hair stylist and cuts my own hair, and I don't do my nails. How much money do you spend on your beauty routine ie. hair, waxing, nails?
It does seem like a lot of money, but most girls spend that much.

I think that if you are getting acrylic nails, you could cut that out, because natural nails look a lot nicer.

Also, maybe gradually grow out your natural hair colour, and when it's natural, just colour it with semis.
Well... I work at a salon and get free haircuts, and on top of that I primarily cut my own hair. So that's free. And I do my own french manicure. And I'm good at it. So that is free. And usually, I don't need to waz my eyebrows or elsewhere, I pluck my eyebrows and wear boardshorts, so see? That is how you can cut down. Hope that helped.

Should I trust a local beauty school for waxing/haircuts/dye?

I know this is a pretty good school, and it is run by a local community college, but I was wondering if I would be putting much risk into it. They offer cheap services so that students can practice, but these aren't new students. Do you think it would be too much of a risk to do the whole haircut/dye thing at this beauty school? Any opinions?Should I trust a local beauty school for waxing/haircuts/dye?
you have to check out their student:teacher ratio. if the ratio is too low, forget it.

i've tried the my local student services at a well known hairdressing school for rebonding plus cut. it turned out well, but the time i spent there was like 3 times the time i would have spent at their normal salon with a senior stylist. just my haircut took 1 and a half hours... can you believe it?Should I trust a local beauty school for waxing/haircuts/dye?
    ****************************************鈥?br>

You can trust them for some things

The risks you shouldn't take are-

    -under arm waxing

(a wrong stroke might give you lumps under your arms)

-hair dyeing..you might not get the desired color and effect
There are horror stories out there.....I wouldn't do it if I were you.
    NO! They're such noobs.
You can trust them a teacher is always by their side in case of errors.
you'd prob be safe going to a gay guy at one of them. don't they have like magic powers when it comes to that sort of stuff?
There are horror stories and great stories...but there are at salons too. I was once sent to a colloege to have my hair cut and coloured for a play I was doing...the students were well into their course and seemed very good, but more to the point they had a group of teachers monitoring them and helping out where necessary.

The onlt way for students to become good hairdressers etc. is to learn by doing.

It's worth a shot. If you don't like it, you haven't wasted much money and your hairstyle will be temporary anyway.
it depends..you can go in there %26amp; ask that only a senior does your hair....

do you know anyone who knows someone that might go there??

or ask if anyone has had their hair done there %26amp; ask who did it if it turned out good %26amp; wasnt long ago..
